Traded my 6 year old BMW X3 for a 2011 Soul ! w/ leather. Really excellent litlle car. Its got a fun nimble, spritely drive quality. The seating position and visability are excellent and VERY comfortable. Better A/C, stereo sound and gas mileage than the BMW. Interior holds 4 LARGE adults w/ plenty of room. The upright trunk is plent big enough for a full shopping cart of groceries or luggage for 2+ for a long weekend. Fold the back seats down for even more luggage space. If you can spring for the leather do so. The black and tan combo in the ! makes for a stunning interior and the seats are firmer. Clever how they used black everywhere you touch and tan everywhere you don’t touch so the interior stays looking nice and clean. A 5th gear on the auto tranny would be nice for even better gas mileage but acceleration seems surprizingly good for a four cylinder. Build quality seems excellent after 6 months of steady use. Tires could be slightly quieter at speeds over 70 mph. But its still just fine on the highway. You won’t regret buying a Soul!

It is a great little ,car and a good value. I ‘really’ like the features, fit and finish and the mileage could be better, but I easily get 400 miles per tank at 55mph with the cruise. I opted for the Zylon treatment at purchase, and it paid for itself a couple weeks ago when the car was outside in a violent hail storm that lasted about 3 or 4 minutes. With jagged ping pong ball size hail I thought that I would find a broken front and back windshield and hundreds of chips and scratches. NO scratches, no chips and no broken glass at all! Even tho the impacts were hard enough to leave dents in the steel hood and roof and on the side panels it left the paint in perfect condition. WOW!

After driving old buckets for the past 4 years, this car is an AMAZING change. I’m 21 and for my first NEW car, i’m glad I chose the 2011 Kia Soul. I don’t even know where to start with all of the features this thing comes with. iPod compatibility, bluetooth hands free talk, free 3 months of sirius radio, abs antilock disc brakes, electronic stability control, and so much more. The ride is relatively smooth over bumpy roads and the handling is fantastic. This baby cuts corners like no one’s business and the steering is incredibly firm. The inside is VERY spacious and the back seats fold down completely to make even more room. There’s a storage compartment with different sections to place things like jacks, flares, and etc underneath the trunk area floor. The frontal visibility is outstanding and the back visibility is almost equally as clear. There are two slight blind spots because the back pillars are extremely thick, but if your side mirrors are adjusted correctly, you should be able to see just fine. Also, the 10 year/100,000 warranty AND the 5 year/60,000 mile 24 hour roadside assistance is the reason why I gave this car 5 stars for reliability. Even though i’ve only had it for 2 weeks, Kia made sure that i’ll be able to rely on them for the next 5-10 years. All in all, i HIGHLY recommend this car!

We bought the car because of health problems in getting into lower slung sedans or too-high vans & SUVs. What we found is that this car is under a magic spell–it’s bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside. And the back storage area is also higher up than a sedan’s trunk, so it’s easy on the back. Not as wide as a more expensive car, but still comfortable in the front seat. And the back seats are not what we euphemistically call “punishment seats” in our family. You actually have leg room back there. Mileage not what’s advertised, but then, I’ve never had a car that actually gets the miracle MPGs that they say it’ll get. We’re averaging between 24 and 28 mpg. Sirius XM radio a nice addition, and we got the keyless car, which means you only have to have the key fob on you to unlock or start the car. LOVE that feature. Overall, we have been very happy with our decision, and we looked at the other boxy little car, the Cube, too.

Kia Base, manual trans pros: great gas mileage good use of space sirius xm radio good fit and finish ac and heat work well comfortable front seats decent back seats good dealer service alot of extras for 14,000 Cons: 1 major cheap shocks/struts, feel too many bumps 1 minor wind noise Had warranty repair before 10,000 miles, handled great by dealer May buy another soon

The 2L motor has plenty a pep but still pull a very good 30 MPG. Have driven t in the mountains and at sea level and love it. Around town is good at 26 MPG. Is easy to keep clean and looking good. Am over 60 and can get in and out well. Room for 3 in the back if 1 is smaller. All around I like this little car.

I love the style of the car. It handles very well. Is much roomier on the inside than it appears on the outside. It is full of goodies on the inside. However the quality of the interior materials (dash, door panels, etc) are mainly plastic and easily damaged (nicked or scratched). I love the car. just have to be a bit careful with the interior.

The Kia Soul is a nifty, reliable, and stylish vehicle for a smart consumer who cares about styling, value, safety, and fuel economy. It is roomy and fun to drive. The turning radius and overall handling are excellent.

We were out looking for a used car for my husband’s daily driving (he’s retired) and runs around a lot. By chance we ended up at our local Kia dealer. We told him we had no idea what kind of vehicle we wanted. He first showed us the little Kia (hampster car) and we sort of laughed. It was so little and so cute. Then he showed us a few other vehicles. But we came back to the Kia Soul. After we we signed the original purchase papers we found we got $1,000 rebate for driving a competitors car. That made the deal so sweet. We love it. It gets excellent MPG (we got the 5 speed), is comforatable, easy to handle, lots of interior room, excellent stereo, well everything is excellent. All for a great price.
